A Thought

A thought that was evoked from reading one entry in someone else's blog....

Love isn't a matter of black or white.
We will be surprised by just how many possible shades of grey exist.
How can we ever understand the complexity of our hearts when at different stages of our lives we meet so many different people.
We mustn't forget that we are constantly changing too (hopefully for the better)...
and so is the state of our hearts.
There will be someone at some point who will tug that heart string
and isn't the forbidden often the one posing the greatest desire and challenge.
Admit it, we all love challenges... and yes you will meet others whom you will love,
maybe more and maybe you will still think why didn't you meet them any earlier....

Life's Little Irony

Sometimes you need distance to draw people closer.

We bother to keep in touch when we are miles apart, but not when we are only a block away;
We think of the good times when we may be eternally separated, but not when we can spend each living moments together;

Why do we make our lives difficult?

A Muse

Quite a number of the entries in this blog was a written with some help of my muse. He called me Miss Laffalot... But I must say, he had some interesting experiences in his life that triggered thoughts and evoked certain emotions and memories. Well, seeing his closet, I figured my closet of skeletons can't be that bad.

I recalled our strange first meeting. We actually arranged to meet up without knowing and asking for each other's names. It was one of those spur of a moment when we thought we each could do a little drink. He was a swinging bachelor then... Maybe he still is but not so sure if he's swinging anymore. But it was a refreshing time we had, especially when he had to "rescue" me from some guys from the next table. There was yet another one drunken moment when he called me and sang to me on the phone. Didn't give me time to recover from my initial shock.

We used to read each other's blog and give feedback on a daily basis. We sure had a lot to write then. I remembered there was this particular entry he wrote that made me cry not to mention the others which made me fall off my chair. Now, he has stopped writing altogether.

I don't know if he will come back and write again but I know he has moved on with his life. One big part of me wished that things haven't changed... but it has.

I miss my muse and a great pal.

I Miss This Blog

I kind of miss this blog.

Perhaps it is one where I used to express my thoughts quite freely and I must say there were times when I was impressed by what I wrote. Lol!

Someone used to say that one needs to be a little bit unhappy so as to be creative. I am beginning to think that he may be right afterall. I haven't been thinking much so far this year. Nothing has very much irks me to the extent that I got to write it down. Or even if there is, in retrospective, it is so trivial.

Has my life become a smaller one? Somehow "smaller" isn't quite the word I am seeking. "not significant" maybe... It dawned upon me suddenly, is this what I will be happy with? Or will I soon get bored by this? I am not rejecting the idea of getting a job but the job got to be an interesting one. I am rejecting the idea of getting into teaching again. Somehow I feel that since I am out here, I want to do something different... Having said that, I haven't been actively seeking a job either. Maybe the time will come... :)
